Unity World Headquarters at Unity Village serves spiritual seekers and Unity constituents through prayer support, publications, education, retreats and events and online resources. Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) serves Unity ministers and leaders, Unity spiritual communities and other ministries, providing program materials, resources and educational initiatives.
Rev. Howard Caesar, Board Chair
Howard has been a minister for more than 30 years; 23 years as senior minister of Unity Church of Christianity, Houston, Texas. A founding member of the Leadership Council for the Association for Global New Thought, he previously served on the Board for the Association of Unity Churches International (now Unity Worldwide Ministries) and on the board of the International New Thought Alliance.
Charlotte Shelton
Charlotte has served as president and chief executive officer of Unity since July 2006. Previously, she was chair of the Management, Marketing, and M.I.S. Division at the Helzberg School, Rockhurst University, and a visiting professor in Peking University's International MBA program, Beijing, China. Charlotte has also owned her own consulting business, WiseWork, and has held senior management positions in financial services and energy organizations. She is the author of Quantum Leaps: 7 Skills for Workplace Re-Creation (Butterworth-Heinemann, 1999) and co-author of The NeXt Revolution: What Gen X Women Want at Work and How Their Boomer Bosses Can Help Them Get It (Davies-Black, 2005) and Good Business: Putting Spiritual Principles Into Practice at Work (Unity House, 2010).
Rev. Patricia Bass
Patricia has served as senior minister of Unity Church of Overland Park, Kansas, since 2004. She was ordained as a Unity minister in 1998 and also has served as senior associate minister for Unity Church of Christianity in Houston, Texas. She is a member of the board of directors for Unity’s South Central Region and a member of the Advisory Council for the Association of Global New Thought. She holds a master's degree in interpersonal communication and bachelor's degrees in journalism and speech communication. Before becoming a minister, Patricia worked in the banking industry, managing a statewide network of 65 banks. Her responsibilities covered such areas as marketing, training, customer service and account growth. She managed a staff of more than 300 and a multimillion-dollar budget.
Rev. Bill Englehart
The senior minister at the Unity In Marin church since 2006. Before being called to ministry, Bill spent 18 years in the field of human resources management. On his last assignment as an international human resources director, he lived and worked in London as an expatriate for a Fortune 50 corporation. He currently resides in Northern California.
Doug Harris
Doug has attended Harvard's Graduate School of Business and has been featured in Who's Who in America publications. He has more than 30 years of management-level experience with corporations such as Knight Ridder, Inc., and United Air Lines.
Rev. Jennifer Holder
Licensed and ordained as a Unity minister since 2006, Jennifer has been actively studying on the spiritual education path for 20+ years having served in leadership positions of various churches in children/youth ministry, senior adult ministry, music ministry, associate and senior minister roles, and as a Board member. Jennifer currently serves Unity of Gaithersburg, Maryland, as senior minister. She cohosted a Unity Online Radio weekly program, Unity Family Matters, with her husband, Rev. Ogun Holder.
Rev. Pat Williamson
Senior minister of Unity Christ Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he served as chair of the Board of the Association of Unity Churches International (2006–2007). He is affiliated with the International Conference of Police Chaplains. During Pat's 15 years of field ministry, he has served congregations in Kansas City, Missouri; Evanston, Illinois; and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ron Bonar
Ron serves as founder and current chairman emeritus of Bonar Group, a consulting engineering, surveying and planning firm. From Fort Wayne, Indiana, he has over 45 years' engineering and construction experience.
Rev. Marilyn Muehlbach
Marilyn has a BA degree in economics from Denison University and served as minister of Unity Church of North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene Idaho for 20 years. She was a member of the Association of Unity Churches International Board of Trustees, serving as Chair in 2008-2009. She also serves as president of the Board of Directors for the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d'Alene.
John R. Knowles, LUT
John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an entrepreneur with an extensive background in business and engineering. He is president/owner of Plymouth Industries, Inc., which specializes in computer-controlled custom machinery and material-handling equipment. John holds several patents and many original designs. He has been in Unity for more than 30 years and is a licensed Unity teacher.
Stephen M. Cumbie
Stephen M. Cumbie has an extensive background in commercial and residential real estate development. He presently serves as CEO and principal of NVCommercial Incorporated, NVRetail, and the Metro Realty group. He is also the president of NVCapital Advisors, a real estate investment fund. In addition, he has leadership roles in a number of community, business, and charitable organizations in the Washington, D.C., area. A member of Unity of Fairfax Church in Oakton, Virginia, for more than 20 years, he served on its Board of Trustees and led its building committee.
Michael Sheets
A graduate of the University of Kansas, Michael has a master's degree in communications. He is retired from a career in the general aviation industry. Active in his local church (Unity of Wichita), he has been involved with Unity for nearly 20 years.
