Unity World Headquarters at Unity Village serves spiritual seekers and Unity constituents through prayer support, publications, education, retreats and events, and online resources. Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) serves Unity ministers and leaders, Unity spiritual communities, and other ministries, providing program materials, resources, and educational initiatives.
Chief Executive Officer
Charlotte has served as president and chief executive officer of Unity since July 2006. Previously, she was chair of the Management, Marketing, and M.I.S. Division at the Helzberg School, Rockhurst University, and a visiting professor in Peking University's International MBA program, Beijing, China. Charlotte has also owned her own consulting business, WiseWork, and has held senior management positions in financial services and energy organizations. She is the author of Quantum Leaps: 7 Skills for Workplace Re-Creation (Butterworth-Heinemann, 1999) and co-author of The NeXt Revolution: What Gen X Women Want at Work and How Their Boomer Bosses Can Help Them Get It (Davies-Black, 2005) and Good Business: Putting Spiritual Principles Into Practice at Work (Unity House, 2010).
Rev. Patricia Bass
Interim Vice President-Silent Unity
Ordained as a Unity minister in 1998, Reverend Patricia Bass has served churches in Houston, Texas and Overland Park, Kansas. She has been a member of multiple teams and boards throughout the Unity movement. Before becoming a minister, Patricia worked in the financial industry, where she managed 65 branch banks as well as the marketing and training departments. She holds a master's degree in interpersonal communication and bachelor's degrees in journalism and speech communication.
Vice President, Education and Events
Prior to joining Unity, Ted served as campus executive officer and provost for adult professional studies at Ottawa University in Kansas City. Ted is a board member of the C.O.R.E. Council of the Center for Spiritual Living in Kansas City. He brings a variety of experiences to Unity, including business ownership, leadership in public and private education, and civic leadership in Overland Park and Kansas City. He has a B.A. and M.A.T. from the University of Iowa and is a graduate of the Drake University Law School.
Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Mary joined Unity in 2007, serving various roles in communications, marketing, and publishing. She has more than 25 years of experience in organizational and marketing communications. Before coming to Unity she was the communications director for NovaStar Mortgage, Inc. She has also held leadership and management roles at American Century Investments, William M. Mercer, and The Principal Financial Group. As a community volunteer, she has served on the board of Foundation Workshop, Inc. (now JobOne) in Kansas City. She has a B.A. and M.A. in English from Drake University.
President/Chief Operating Officer
Guy joined Unity World Headquarters in 2014 as CFO/COO, having previously served as vice president of Finance and Administration at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. He has also held various audit roles at Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and The Kansas City Board of Trade. Guy is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Kansas State University and an Executive Fellows MBA from Rockhurst University.
Gae L. Lennan
Director, Information Technology
Gae's responsibilities include Network and Telecommunication Services, Application Services, and the Project Management Office. She began her career as an application developer and has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology field. Gae received her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri where she studied computer information systems. She also earned an MBA from the University of Kansas.
Vice President, Development
Chad joined Unity World Headquarters as vice president of Development in 2015. He has more than 20 years of development experience with both local and national organizations in higher education, healthcare, and the arts. He has designed and implemented sophisticated annual fund programs, major giving, corporate giving, stewardship, and capital campaigns. He has counseled on the implementation of data-driven prospect management, analytics, and predictive modeling systems to create robust donor pipelines. Chad is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has a B.S. in political science and telecommunications from the University of Evansville, Indiana.
