Unity World Headquarters at Unity Village (UWH) serves spiritual seekers and Unity constituents through prayer support, publications, retreats and events, and online resources. Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) supports Unity ministers, leaders, and Unity spiritual communities with leading-edge education, consultation, and resources.

Rev. Donna Johnson

President and Chief Executive Officer

Donna, ordained in 1996, served 16 successful years as a field minister including the past 13 years as the senior minister at Unity of Fairfax in Northern Virginia which has been a participant in the Transformation Experience Pilot Program and the Unity Identity Program (branding). She was a Unity Worldwide Ministries Board member for five (5) years and a member of the joint Integration Team with Unity School representatives.

She has served on the Admissions Team, Church Growth and Development Team, Credential Leaders and Ministry Review Team (CLMRT), Gifts and Grants Team and the Future Trends Team. Donna is pleased and honored to be serving our Unity movement and has great hope for a stronger Unity.

Rev. Deborah Frownfelter

Executive Director of Education
Ordained 2006

Deborah is an ordained Unity minister (2006) and licensed Unity teacher. She oversees programs and services involving spiritual education for all ages, including including Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute, leadership development, and worldwide support. Deborah is responsible for the development of UWM's Leadership Guides.

Prior to ministry, Deborah's career included education, counseling, management, corporate training, organizational development, leadership development, coaching and consulting. Most recently she worked with the Center for Leadership Development at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine.

Cynthia Vermillion-Foster

Member Services Director

Rev Cynthia Vermillion-Foster oversees all services for UWM member ministries and credentialed leaders. These services include: governance, administration & finance; employment & transitional services; evolving ministries, ministry skills consulting; family ministry, credentialing, and ethics.

Rev Cynthia was ordained in 1997 and served in center ministry for 16 years. She was the Regional Consultant for Canada, served as the chair of the Ethics Review System, and on the Ministry Skills Team. She has a background in psychology and ballet, and loves engaging the dance of ministry through her connections with our members.

Bernadette Swanson

Interim Director of Communications & Marketing

Bernadette, licensed Unity teacher (2006), writes for and edits Unity Worldwide Ministries' publications, including The Path, Unity Leaders Journal, Important Communications, and the website. She has assumed responsibilities for the Communications & Marketing area, overseeing graphics and media, as well as directing the Unity Identity Program (branding). She initially joined UWM in the education area as a curriculum writer. Prior to working for UWM, she was staff writer for Unity Magazine (1995-2000). Bernadette serves as a licensed teacher at Unity of Independence, Mo.

Rev. Bruce Verkruyse

COO/CFO/Vice President of Administration and Finance

Rev Bruce Verkruyse (ordained 2013) is responsible for oversight of the fiscal affairs of UWM, including benefit offerings for members, the physical plant and inventory management. Bruce offers consulting to spiritual communities and ministers regarding a wide range of financial considerations. Bruce has a Master's Degree in Business Administration and many years of service in Unity.
