Many people working together for one mission.
Board of Trustees
The Board is made up of 12 members and one "keeper of the Flame" elected by the conference body. Ministers, licensed teachers and congregants are all eligible, based on qualifications. The move from a representative board to best-qualified is based on the belief that an organization can go only as far as the capabilities of the leaders. Board members are listed here.
Leadership Recruitment and Development Team
This team, made up of eight members, identifies candidates for the Board and for itself, based on the best-qualified for the job to be done. This team has a significant impact on our Association, both now and in the future. Our goal is to have diverse representation of skilled ministers, licensed teachers, young adults and lay members who are well grounded in Unity.
Ministry Teams
Volunteers are appointed to serve on Ministry Teams. Each team has a different purpose. Teams work with a representative from the Board and from our staff. They develop ideas and gather information, forming recommendations which are submitted to the Board of Trustees. To find our more about the teams, visit this page.
Home Office Staff
Our home office staff handles the day-to-day operation of the Association. Staff professionals in church administration, communications, finance, education and leadership are organized under our CEO. Go here for a list of staff members.
Regions
Within the United States, there are seven geographic regions. These regions provide educational and fellowship opportunities for the churches and individuals within the region. Regions are listed in the here.
National Schools and Associations
Outside of the United States, National Schools and Associations are formed in countries where a large constituency may be served. National Schools and Associations are listed in the directory.
Churches, Ministers, Licensed Teachers and Members
Church congregants are also part of our Association, as well as the ministers and licensed teachers who serve churches. Together we are a movement of people who passionately believe in the benefits of the Unity message to our world. To locate churches, ministers and licensed teachers near you, see the directory.
Annual Business Meeting
Our annual business meeting is held at our international convention in June each year. Voting members of the Association include ministers in good standing and delegates from each congregation. (View bylaws) At this meeting, we elect the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Recruitment Development Team (LRDT). The LRDT develops slates of candidates for both groups to be presented for voting.
