I enjoyed my two days volunteering as workshop vol-coordinator, and heard many comments from volunteers AND participants that: "the volunteers were very helpful and wonderful," and "I felt well-trained- like I knew exactly what my role was and why I was there!" Excellent job! Thank you for including me! Linda Chubbuck |
I have to tell you of a great compliment the hotel gave to a very influential person from the business community about our convention at the Double Tree Hotel last week. I saw an old friend and past business client of mine and he of me at the hotel today. He was the President of Metcalf bank and a very prominent member of the business community of Kansas City. He is in his 80s and still goes to the office. He told me the manager of the Double Tree Hotel said to him that in 35 years of hotel management, the Unity Church organization has been the best and nicest group he has ever hosted. Ellis Megee |
Kudo's to you and the conference team for a great conference. I was so impressed with the hotel and the treatment we received. Also was impressed with the sound this year. In the past it has been less than wonderful and this year it seemed from my point of view to be a 10. I know how much time and effort goes into a production of this sort and I want to let you know how much you are appreciated. THANK YOU! Rev. Pat Bessey |
Wanted to pass along another compliment about convention. This was from Nancy Holtzman (Santa Fe) who, in her former life, was a convention/event director. She said it was one of the best conventions she's ever been to; from the content to the organization and staff support. She wanted us to know that she knew how much went into doing that kind of quality work! Hooray!! Marti |
I, too, have received several e-mails and phone calls congratulating the great efforts, content was brilliant, flow excellent, the sound and tech support outstanding snd the flowers and backdrop lovely, but the biggest praise goes to you Debbie and your terrific team, we are all blessed by you commitment to excellence and the ability to execute. I look forward to the debrief, one comment, it may be a good idea to kick off with Michael and his team next year if he can do it, the big opening got people involved in a very energetic and positive way.I hope they give you a big raise. Oceans of love, Mary |
Yea, Team! I can't tell you how grateful/pleased/filled I was by Convention and all you did to make it that way. I couldn't have asked for more. You are the best! And, Debbie, you are a miracle worker. Much love, Marilyn |
By the way - this conference was Excellent! I loved the cohesiveness of the speakers and the theme of Thriving and Leadership. Great job! And boy, that sounds system. I never heard it go bad ever! That's great improvement. In God's Love and Light, Aliza |
I have been meaning to write you to pass along feedback from convention. It was fabulous -- the most meaty and meaningful I have attended. One of my minister friends said that he usually comes to convention to visit with other ministers and just drops into the sessions between visits. This year, he didn't want to leave the sessions! How's that for a good report. Because I am detail-oriented, I also noticed and appreciated: the sound quality! Finally, the sound was working well. Congratulations.
So, thanks to everyone for a job well done. I know you will pass this along to whomever needs to see it. Abundant Blessings, Rev. Patricia Bass |
Dear Association Convention Team, I want to commend you all on a fabulous job with this year's convention. The speakers and the music were, in my mind of the highest caliber and the flow and organization, from the outside, seemed seamless. It was truly the best I have been to in my 13 years of ministry. I know how very hard the staff has worked and how much time and energy it all takes. What impressed me the most was that, even in an economically challenging time, you did not hold back; Thank you! Thank you to each one of you for your cheerful high energy, willingness to be totally present to all of us. Your are a great team! God Bless you! Rev. Shipley Allinson |
Debbie and Kim, It was a Great experience to volunteer at the conference! It was a seamless operation—flowing. Thanks! Ann French P.S. I'm using the “spiritual social action” small group ministry booklet for our Green Team meeting. Very Good! |
Dear Debbie, Thank you so much for a fabulous convention. I loved the schedule—well-paced with time to absorb the material and great keynotes and break-out sessions. In fact I had a hard time deciding which session to go to! Thanks for your commitment to excellence and your love of Unity. One in Spirit, Rev. Jill Andrews |
