This seminar was created from the work of Drs. Richard Moss and Brugh Joy, MD's. Scott has incorporated Unity philosophy, prayers and meditations to ensure it not only has a Unity basis, but is Unity through and through. As a result over 20 Unity churches are now using it as a regular part of their healing ministries. The seminar will demonstrate the process and provide specific directions on how your church can easily include it in your program with a minimum of staff effort, produce significant healings in all areas of life and provide additional prosperity for your church.

You will gain a clear understanding of how to change the culture of your church from a small group doing everything into a fully functioning "equipping" congregation. You will leave the workshop knowing the first steps to take in becoming an empowering leader who is a catalyst to your congregation becoming an 'equipping' church.

It is well known that Unity Church Board members volunteer their business skills, talents and treasures to serve on the board as a way to give back to their Spiritual Community. Board members are understood to bring different skills and play different roles to support and build the organization while working toward the ministry's mission and goals. However, "how" you play this role is just as important as the roles themselves. In this workshop, we will concretely explore the "leadership role model" you want to extend throughout your Spiritual Community. Self-responsibility, integrity, and operating from principle are but a few of the leadership behaviors within a Thriving Ministry that are critical to high performance. This new board dynamic will not only ensure effectiveness amongst the minister, board members, and staff, it will call the general membership to a higher level of leadership and foster a culture of greater community ownership.

Cindy is the owner and lead consultant of Henson Consulting Group which specializes in board development, executive coaching, organization change management and large scale project implementation. She has a proven track record at guiding executives to articulate their vision, aligning employees and providing practical tools for successful implementation.

 

Ms. Henson has an MBA in Information Systems and a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Studies from the prestigious United Nations University for Peace. She also has multiple certifications and accreditations, including Accelerating Implementation Management, Human Resource Management and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

Named after the Old Testament Nehemiah who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and restored the Jewish people's faith in God, a Nehemiah Project is all about renewing something sacred. Nehemiah has been lifted up for centuries as a model of passionate and faithful caring, brilliant strategy and motivation. He confronted an environment of despair, hopelessness, and physical danger. His efforts and those of the people he worked with resulted in the successful rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem.
Attendees will learn ways to rebuild their local community through projects such as Habitat for Humanity.

Church leadership requires us to model the consciousness we teach on Sunday so we need to be able to access our wisdom and our compassion at will. The keys to demonstrating this consciousness are an inner state of coherence and connection to self and others. This is a two-part experiential workshop utilizing the power of collective prayer.
