How do I become a Unity minister?

The Dual Admissions Process

Licensing and Ordination as a Unity minister is granted by the Association of Unity Churches International. The primary path to licensing and ordination combines acceptance into the Association's Ministry Path with academic and experiential coursework at Unity Institute
®.
This is a dual admissions process.

Individuals interested in Unity ministry must first meet the Association's requirements for the ministry path. These requirements include:

Unity Institute offers two academic programs of study leading to possible licensing and ordination as a Unity Minister:

Degreed applicants for ordination may take classes at Unity Institute prior to acceptance into the ordination path; however, this is not recommended. Nondegreed applicants for ordination must be accepted into the ordination path prior to taking classes at Unity Institute. We strongly suggest that potential applicants to the ordination path not make any major life changes until they have been admitted to the ordination path. We also recommend that SEE program prerequisites be completed before taking Unity Institute classes.

Dual Admissions: Those seeking licensing and ordination must apply to both the Association's Ministry Path and Unity Institute's Master of Divinity or Certificate in Unity Ministry programs. For the most current information regarding the dual admissions process, please contact:
