Live Webcam Classes

The series of Unity Webcast classes that we will introduce later in 2009 will make it possible for you to participate in a live class experience from the comfort of your own home. Our new Webcast classes will focus entirely on the needs of distance learning students. You, your instructor, and each of the other participants in the class will meet in an Internet “virtual classroom” where you'll be able to hear the instructor's voice and see his/her “live image.” Your computer screen will deliver class handouts and other material that will enhance the learning experience. You'll be able to ask questions and participate in discussions through the “chat” capability of the virtual classroom.

We'd like to tailor our new Webcast classes to meet your requirements as an adult learner as completely as we can. For this reason, we'll be conducting a survey early in 2009. The survey will ask which classes you'd most like to take, and what times are most convenient for you. We recognize the importance of providing classes that will be convenient for learners in different time zones, and we're very willing to be flexible.

To participate in our Unity Webcast classes, you'll need a computer (Mac or PC, both are fine) with a broadband (DSL or cable) Internet connection. You'll also need to be comfortable using a computer mouse or other pointing device, be able to open and close programs, and send and receive e-mail.

Webcam class fee: $170 (includes 10 credits).
Remember to check your course(s) for any required books (cost of books not included in course fee). Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery, or for expedited shipping, call Customer Service at 1-800-248-6489 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (CT), Monday through Friday.

You may also order your books through the Unity Bookstore at 816-251-3578. If you order from the Unity Bookstore, you may get the books faster.
