Romans 12:20

"If your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads" (Romans 12:20).

I find it difficult to put a positive spin on this directive from Paul to the church in Rome, except to note that it follows directives to "Bless those who persecute you," to rejoice and live in harmony. This passage, however, seems to suggest that good actions can result from unharmonious intentions.
