Lowell Fillmore: The Unsung Hero of Unity
Lowell Fillmore (1882–1975) is not as well-known within the Unity movement as his parents Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, who founded Unity in 1889 when their eldest son was 7. But Lowell deserves recognition. Working at Unity from age 10 and eventually becoming president of the organization when his father died in 1948, Lowell presided over a period of explosive growth for the Unity movement. He loved to share the Unity teachings, penning literally thousands of columns for Weekly Unity and Unity Magazine®. His only goal as the leader of this spiritual movement was to help and serve more people.
