Rev. Russell Heiland

Rev. Russell Heiland has served as senior minister of Unity of Fairfax in Oakton, Virginia, since 2013. Prior to his service at Fairfax, he served at First Unity of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Unity of Wilmington, North Carolina, and was a cofounder of Crystal Coast Unity in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.

He was ordained in 2007 at a joint service in which he also received his master’s degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His thesis, Inner Vision and Synchronicity: Dream Work as Taught by Charles Fillmore and Carl Jung, was groundbreaking research that highlighted the role of dream interpretation in Unity. It is lodged in the Unity Archives.

Rev. Russell has a history of extensive service to the Unity movement and is passionate about interfaith work and spiritually motivated social justice.
