100 Years and Beyond: Leave a Legacy for the Future
To ensure the future of our life-affirming teachings and ministries, and to develop consistent streams of revenue to support the Unity Village campus, we have launched our next capital campaign—100 Years and Beyond: Leave a Legacy for the Future.
In 2020, Unity Village celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Through the decades, time has taken its toll on many of the historic homes and buildings on the Unity Village campus. To be good stewards, we need to update and repair our facilities.
The good news is that as we do this, these facilities become assets that provide a return on investment to help fund mission-driven ministry work of Unity.
Unity is also committed to improving our technology to meet the needs of those we serve today, so that future generations will have access to the transformational teachings inspired by our founders Myrtle and Charles Fillmore.
Since the beginning, Unity has relied on freewill donations or “love offerings” to fund its ministries and operations. But donations vary based on market, world, and political conditions, and do not cover the entire cost of our ministries.
Elements of the Capital Campaign
The R.D. Goppert Event Center at Unity Village
By renovating the aging Activities Center at Unity Village, we will create a beautiful state-of-the-art Event Center at Unity Village, making it possible to attract speakers and retreats the existing facility cannot accommodate. The Event Center will also be used for workshops, concerts, celebrations, trade shows, and more, generating as much as $500,000 a year in additional funding for ministries like the Unity Prayer Ministry (Silent Unity®) and Message of Hope®, as well as ongoing maintenance and improvements at Unity Village.
Technology
To better meet the needs of those we serve now, as well as the next generation of seekers, we are improving our websites, developing new mobile experiences, and implementing a new customer relationship management system allowing us to provide high-touch, customizable digital experiences based on user preferences and interests.
Unity Archives
Help Unity preserve and disseminate the teachings of founders Myrtle and Charles Fillmore as well as other legendary Unity leaders. We are partnering with a software company that specializes in digital archives to transform and digitize thousands of items, collections, and curated exhibits that trace the history and development of Unity. Our intention is to ensure information is searchable and easily accessible online now and for future generations.
