Psalm 34:19
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all" (Psalm 34:19).
Comment:
This important message, expressed in many different ways, can be found throughout both testaments of the Bible. It would seem to our mortal mind that if we live a life that is 'righteous,' our reward should be a life free from afflictions. In spiritual Truth, however, all afflictions have the potential to be blessings, helping our consciousness to expand. The righteous, who make choices based in love and faith, obedient to the spiritual laws that govern the universe, will be able to see and choose that spiritual potential in every affliction that may arise. After all, as long as we remain within this human framework we will experience challenge and affliction. We can choose to become victims of them, or we can allow Spirit, the Lord of our being, to guide us to a higher perspective.
Blessings!
