1 Chronicles, Chapter 1
Comment:
I am not going to print out the entire chapter. This seemingly endless list of interrelated genealogies had a purpose specific to its time: It wanted to establish the place of Abraham and his descendants in the larger world by naming all the descendants of Adam and Eve. It's like the summary at the beginning of each Game of Thrones episode reminding us of what had gone before. Metaphysically, too, it can be useful and important to remember the story we have already moved through as we contemplate the spiritual choices that are ours to make in the present moment.

Comment:There are two different genealogies given for Jesus: one in the Gospel of Matthew (1:1-17) and the other in the
Ecclesiastes 3:15 "That which has been is now; and that which is to be hath already been..."
Question:Is it the translation that makes this verse so difficult? Seems that translators haven’t been able to write an understandable
