Isaiah 26:3-4

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—

   in peace because they trust in you. 

Trust in the Lord forever,

   for in the Lord God

   you have an everlasting rock.

 

Comment:

Your morning prayer focus is both timely and important. In this passage, the prophet is affirming universal spiritual Truth. Those of "steadfast mind" are those who remain balanced and centered through all the challenges they may experience—both individually and as a nation. As beings of Spirit, we have an "everlasting rock" that will keep us in peace. It is by trusting in our oneness with Spirit, and relying on its guidance, that we are able to be at peace, no matter what dramas are unfolding around us.
