 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me” (John 5:30).

Comment:

In the Gospel of John, Jesus is presented not so much as an historic figure, but as the embodiment of the Christ—the Word of God eternally present in all of us. Jesus is here sharing a sense of just how that works. We are not to use the Christ as a power to serve our ego demands and needs. We do not allow our mortal minds to decide what we are to create. Our mortal minds see mostly lack and need, and those energies cannot be trusted as a source for our creative divinity. Rather, we are to allow the Christ Mind within us to discern what our creative intention needs to be. Thus we seek not our own limited human will, but the infinite divine Will that is our Source. We are here to bring that divine Will into tangible expression through our thoughts, beliefs and choices. So long as we surrender to that Will, what we create and what we experience will be infinite love, abundance and joy. If, instead, we try to create according to the selfish demands of our mortal perceptions, the result will be frustration and dissatisfaction.   Blessings!
