"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away" (Matthew 24:35).

Comment:

Jesus is here responding to his disciples' question about “the end of the age.” We understand this to be, not the end of the world, but the point of transition from a world defined by human consciousness into a new world defined by our Christ consciousness—the kingdom of heaven. He warns that the process is challenging and sometimes painful, but it's essential to fulfill our spiritual purpose. Jesus is here speaking in his full Christ consciousness, so that his “words” are expressions of that eternal energy. Our human ideas may change and fade—our understanding of “heaven” and “earth,” for example. But the eternal spiritual Truth that is the Christ will never change—it cannot, because it is an expression of the Omniscience of God. So we must continually hold in mind the truth that change, no matter how final it may seem, is never an ending. It is a transition—and, if we continue to affirm our own unity with Christ Mind, it will always be a transition upward to a higher dimension of understanding and expression.   Blessings!
