Deuteronomy 33:25
"Your bars are iron and bronze; and as your days, so is your strength" (Deuteronomy 33:25).
Comment:
The Book of Deuteronomy is structured as a series of farewell talks by Moses to the Hebrew people as they prepare to end their years in the wilderness and claim their Promised Land. In this final talk he addresses the tribes of Israel individually, extending blessings specifically tailored to the nature of each.
Verse 25 is directed to the people of Asher, promising them strength and prosperity in years to come. Iron and bronze symbolize abundance, and their days will be strong as they assume their spiritual role in the new land. I think it's a promise that can speak to each of us when we stand on the verge of a major change in our life experiences. So long as we remain focused on our spiritual purpose, we may be sure that our days will be strong and prosperous.
Blessings!
