Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 RSV).
Question:
I really need to know what this Scripture is saying to me. I just don't get it. Please help me with this.
Comment:
The entire purpose and focus of Jesus' ministry was to awaken people to the simple but essential truth that they were not victims. They were—as we are—fully the Christ in potential. We have only to recognize our innate Oneness with the divine in order to transform our lives and create a new consciousness that he describes as “the kingdom of heaven.” Here Jesus is speaking as the Christ, assuring us that in the indwelling Christ, we will find rest and peace. It is only in the illusive duality of our human existence that we perceive burdens and grow weary from dealing with them. If we consciously connect with our innate Christ energy, we can move through every challenge easily and peacefully.
Blessings!
