"Take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness" (Proverbs 25:5).

Comment:

Proverbs 25 is the first of what is considered Book IV (Proverbs 25-29). They are attributed to Solomon "which the men of Hezekiah copied" (25:1). Hezekiah was a much later king (715–687 BCE) who is known to have tried to model himself and his rule on Solomon, so presumably these five Proverbs are from that time. Metaphysically, we understand "the presence of the king" to be the Christ—our true spiritual identity. "The wicked" are the fear-based error thoughts we may hold in our ego minds. If we allow those thoughts to become our beliefs, and the basis for all choices, we are indeed corrupting our Christ energy. If we choose instead to base our beliefs and choices in the clear, firm, eternal Christ Mind that is always present, then our lives will truly "be established in righteousness."

Blessings!
