But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction, since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:21-24)

Comment:

This passage really defines the heart of Paul’s message, and his understanding of the importance of the example lovingly shown to us by Jesus Christ.  Heretofore we have lived in obedience to divine law, unable to understand the truth of our relationship to the divine that would free us from external laws and allow us to live as creative expressions of our own innate Oneness with the divine. The law will still have power and importance in our lives, but we will not obey them out of fear; we will embrace them as loving guides to expressing our innate creative power. The word for “sin” literally means “missing the mark,” and all of us have missed the mark by not understanding our relationship to the divine. Jesus Christ has shown us the truth by using his own Christ expression as a challenge and example to us to do the same.

Blessings!
