Ephesians 4:29
"Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for edifying, as fits the occasion, that it may impart grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29 RSV).
Comment:
This verse is part of a strong passage describing some of the new life choices that will be required of those who embrace the teachings of Jesus. "Speak the truth ...," "Be angry but do not sin ...," "Let the thief no longer steal ..."—these are pieces of practical advice that ring true still today. This verse continues the theme, affirming the important spiritual Truth that our words have creative power. Evil talk will create negative experiences. Words of grace and love will result in graceful and loving experiences, not just for ourselves but as our contribution to the collective consciousness.
Blessings!
