Isaiah 26:3-4 "Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace..."
“Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—in peace because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock.”—Isaiah 26:3-4
Comment:
This brief passage is a universal prescription for whatever is disturbing us. The prescription is that we remain “of steadfast mind”—that we know without question, doubt or distraction the truth that we are the Allness of God seeking to express in this human experience. Believing in a distant God who may or may not be listening won’t suffice. We must truly understand our innate Oneness with the divine energy we call God. We must never slip back into victim consciousness. The Lord God—the Presence of God within us—is the everlasting rock on which everything can be built. If we find ourselves distressed, depressed, doubting or confused, we can simply quiet our minds, focus on the reality of God, and allow the promised peace to guide us forward. It’s like Emmet Fox’s famous Golden Key: Take your mind off your problem, and put your mind on God. Blessings!
