Matthew 6:14-15
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15 RSV).
Comment:
Again and again, in all his teachings, Jesus emphasizes the importance of forgiveness, as he does here in this passage from the Sermon on the Mount. Forgiveness is not just a nice thing to do. It is the key of access to the divine Law that allows us to freely express our spiritual identity as the Christ. To fully express that divine nature is the entire purpose of this human experience. We become the very embodiment of divine Love according to the extent we extend it to others.
We can see the same Truth at work in every area of our mortal lives. In considering prosperity, for example, it is by allowing Spirit to flow through us to others that we ourselves are blessed as we express the infinite abundance of our divine nature.
Blessings!
