Sharing with the Human Family

Encouraging children to share is a beautiful way to nurture the gifts of love, kindness, compassion, and abundance. When we share, we help them understand the interconnectedness of us all. Through simple acts of kindness—whether it’s offering a hug, holding the door open, or sharing a smile—we model the power of giving and receiving. These small gestures can make a big impact and help brighten someone’s day.

As adults, we also have the ability to share our time, talents, and resources with others. One of the most powerful ways to teach our children the value of sharing is by creating opportunities to volunteer together. When we serve as a family, we not only build compassion, but we also spark curiosity in our children, helping them imagine how they might make a positive difference in their community or the world. These experiences open up conversations about empathy, connection, and how small actions can create ripple effects.

When we share, we not only give, but we also receive—whether it’s the joy we feel in helping others or something tangible that comes back to us from an unexpected source. The act of sharing deepens our understanding of the abundance that surrounds us, and it teaches our children to act from a place of love instead of fear. Through this process, we come to realize our interconnectedness and that we are all one big human family. The choices we make and the way we show up in the world truly matter, and through sharing, we bring more love and light to all.

A Prayer for Sharing for all Children

I take a deep breath of love, knowing I am connected to all that is. I release any fear and open my heart to the flow of giving and receiving. May my children see that when we share, we invite abundance into our lives, and that by sharing love, kindness, and compassion, we make the world brighter. Help them understand that the more we give, the more we receive, not just in things but in joy, peace, and connection. May they learn that sharing brings us closer to one another and to the divine presence that unites us all. As I lead by example, may they feel inspired to share their hearts with others, creating harmony and love in our home, our community, and the world.

A Family Prayer for Sharing

With our hands on our heart, we take a deep breath together, exhaling slowly. As we breathe, we bring to mind a smile we shared with someone, and we feel how that simple act brings a big smile to our own faces. We know that each day gives us a chance to share more love, kindness, and compassion through our words and actions. We choose wisely, knowing that in doing so, our sharing helps create a brighter, more beautiful world for us all.

Together we affirm:
