Proverbs 19:21 "Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord..."
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established" (Proverbs 19:21 RSV).
Comment:
This clear delineation of the difference in power between our mortal mind and the Lord of our being offers a basic and important understanding of spiritual truth. Our limited human minds love to make plans—to set goals, figure out strategies, act as if we are in total control of our own destinies. There's nothing wrong with that—we are meant to use our mortal minds as our lives unfold. But if our plans and intentions do not further the spiritual purpose understood by the Lord—the Christ consciousness within us—then they will come to naught. It is only when our mortal minds are aligned with our divine purpose and empowerment that we can fully achieve the infinite Good that we are here in human form to create, choice by choice. Blessings!
