Psalm 133:1-3
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down upon the beard, upon the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life for evermore” (RSV).
Comment:
For obvious reasons, this brief, ecstatic psalm, is a particular favorite in the Unity movement. It calls us to recognize that we are not here to work alone, to strive for individual spiritual realization. We are here to recognize our oneness—with God and with each other. It is that awareness that allows us to be consecrated to our sacred purpose, just as priests are anointed to theirs. It is with that awareness that we can receive the blessings of the divine as easily and abundantly as dew appears on the mountains.
Blessings!
