About Our Hiring Process

jobs

If you are contacted by our recruiter to schedule an interview, we hope you consider it a chance to learn about us, meet some interesting people, and have fun along the way. We realize interviewing can sometimes be stressful, but we invite you to relax. This is how our interviewing process works:

Explore—We invite you to take a deep dive into all things Unity by learning more about our work, our campus, and our social media.

Apply—We encourage all applicants to read and review the job listings for details and requirements. If you are interested in working at UWH, we invite you to apply. Here is a current list of job openings.

Screen—If your qualifications match those we are seeking, our recruiter will reach out to you for a phone screening. The recruiter will be your primary contact through the interview process to answer any questions.

Interview—From there, in-person or virtual interviews may be scheduled with the hiring manager(s). Some positions may require more than one interview to ensure Unity and the candidate receive all necessary information to determine if there is a good fit for the open position.

Offer—Should Unity make you an offer (congrats!), the next move is yours to determine if Unity is the right fit for you. If you decide yes, then you’ll work with our recruiter on the next steps.

Accept—If you decide to move forward with a position at UWH, then you’ll be asked to complete the preemployment process, which includes a drug screening, background check, and we’ll confirm your previous employment.

Start—We will work with you to determine your start date and answer any questions you may have so that you get off to a great start at Unity!

Tips to Prepare for Your Interview at UWH

How to Dress

The Unity dress code is relatively casual. Please dress appropriately for the type of position for which you are interviewing. If you’d like more specifics, please check with your recruiter.

Learn About UWH

Don’t forget to learn as much as possible BEFORE your interview about the job for which you are applying. We encourage you to learn about Unity by looking around our website and social media.

Be Ready

Arrive a few minutes early if your interview is in person. Our recruiter will give you directions about where to go on campus for your interview. If you are new to Unity Village, give yourself plenty of time to park, find the right building, and get to the interview location.

Test Your Setup

If your interview is virtual, then make sure you know how to use the technology that will be used. Log onto your interview a few minutes early and test your connection, video, and audio using the link your recruiter sends you. Find a well-lit area with minimal background noises and distractions so you can be focused during your interview.

Prepare

We want to learn why you are the best candidate for an open position and how your skills best fit the needs we have. Take time to think through potential interview questions and how you want to respond. Preparation will give you a sense of confidence.

Interviews are a two-way street. We want to get to know you, but you also want to make sure we are a good fit for you. Interviews are the best place to ask questions and get answers to the things on your mind.

Try to Relax

We know interviewing can be stressful, but rest assured we want to get to know you. If it resonates with you, we offer lots of peaceful meditations that you could use before your interview.
